Mario, Julie, and Romeo

Julie Luebbers and Mario Yac met in Guatemala in 2005.  In 2011, they were in Santiago and witnessed an orphan child begging for food.  That moment changed everything.  In an attempt to help that child and his younger brother go to school, Mario and Julie soon after met don Romeo Sactic.  Little did they know that in 2012, TEN FE would begin and life would start gradually improving for many kids and families in Santiago.

Julie Luebbers has worked in the Education field for over 20 years.  She travels to Guatemala several times a year and loves to spend time with the TEN FE kids and see how they and their families are progressing.

Romeo Sactic lives in Santiago, Guatemala.  By profession he is a carpenter.  He works construction and runs his own business.  His heart is heavy for the poor and underprivileged in his country...as it is the life he lived for so long.  He is a firm believer in the power of education and has dedicated his life to helping widows, orphans, and less fortunate people in Guatemala.  He and his wife and 3 kids have dedicated their lives to helping others.

Mario Yac lives in Xela, Guatemala.  He works educating his fellow Guatemalan teachers and their students about best pedagogical practices and tries to instill in them a love for learning.  He helps TEN FE in his free time and he oversees several students and their studies in the Xela area.  Mario has also dedicated his life to helping others less fortunate.
